Rules
- Entrants are referred to as NFMC Junior Members and should be students who have not yet completed high school.
- Juniors should perform works that have been taught or supervised by the teacher.
- Each teacher may submit up to four entries. (An ensemble is one entry)
- Teachers should choose performances that fit the guidelines of each recital theme. Entrants perform from memory; ensembles usually perform with musical scores.
- Teachers should discuss appropriate recital attire with each entrant. Dressy Recital Attirerecommended.
- Performers will be given assigned seats. They should report to Sandra B. Anderson by 2:10 p.m. for seating assignments and program procedure. If students know this when arriving, we will not have to search the room at the last minute to find out if they are present.
- The recital program will always be printed the Saturday afternoon before the recital therefore cancellations should be received by Saturday morning before the Sunday recital.
- Please encourage students to invite friends and relatives.
- Teachers are expected to bring baked goods for the reception, arranged on a container for serving. Just as a reminder, we can not be responsible for dishes left after clean-up time.
Instructions
Complete Recital Application. Mail application and check made payable to the Rappahannock Music Society to Sandra B. Anderson. Her address is 602 Falmouth Dr., Fredericksburg, VA 22405. Applications must be received at least one week before a recital.
